Xiaomi’s latest event highlights company’s upcoming flagships Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, MIUI 10, Mi Band 3 as well as Mi 8 Explorer Edition, a new Mi TV 4 in 75-inches, and a Mi VR headset.  The company announced the new additions at its annual product launch event in Shenzhen, China.

The Mi 8 is the Xiaomi’s first smartphone with a notch. The device features a 6.21-inch OLED screen from Samsung and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It comes with Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 845 processor, the new 12-megapixel dual-camera setup. Besides, dual-frequency GPS which gives correct location data.

The Mi 8 Explorer Edition packs an FHD+ Samsung Super AMOLED display, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage, and under-display fingerprint reader. According to Xiaomi, the Explorer Edition is the world’s first Android phone to have 3D face recognition technology like the iPhone X’s Face ID.

The next entry in the Mi 8 family is the Mi 8 SE which contains 5.8 inch OLED screen and sqaurish form factor with 2.5 D glass on the front. It includes a Qualcomm’s bran-new midrange Snapdragon 710 SoC, then features a 12 MP + 5 MP dual camera setup at the rear with a 20 MP camera up front.

The Mi 8 will price 2,699 yuan (~$421) in China, the SE will start 1,799 yuan ($281), and the Explorer Edition will be available for 3,699 yuan ($577).  The users will China will see the Mi 8 on starting June 5th then SE following on the June 8th. The company has not revealed pricing and availability details for other markets.
